Omar's
introduction to Project and Construction Management at the capacity of a Senior Site Architect evolved maily during construction
of the New Faisaliah in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by Sir Norman Forster and Partners (presently known as Foster + Partners).
Excavation on project began in 1995 with a total of $300 in construction. Anchoring the site is The Office Tower with
30 floors and a total height of 267 meters (total built up area of 60,100 sqm). Presently, Al-Fasialiah is second tallest
building in Saudi Arabia. The complex includes a Five Star, 224 key 30,100 sqm hotel along with three restaurants and a health
club; A 55,400 sqm Shopping Center with 100 individual retail shops and 400 seating capacity restaurant and food courts; A
100 unit 18,600 sqm Apartment Block with luxury leisure facilities and a health club. Omar's joined the
architectural team working on the Al-Faisaliah Center in Riyadh with King Faisal Foundation as client adn an extensive
scope of working with submittals, construction details, budgeting, method of fixing, sequence applications and scheduling
as key responsibilities. Over 7000 For Construction drawings were cross referenced with Contract Drawings and specifications
ranging from pre-cast panels to Curtain Wall details
